Door Kickplate commonly used in high-traffic places, such as a warehouse, shop, or restaurant, where kicking a door open is more prevalent, such as while carrying things and can't use your hands, so you use your feet instead.

Door Kickplate Function - are a protective sheet put to the bottom of your door to keep it from becoming damaged. They got their moniker from folks who, with their hands full, kick the door open.
